Fall is here. The colors are becoming more and more vibrant every day. I am in heaven. This is such an amazing time of year to get out of the studio and capture all of the natural beauty all around.

This past week was up and down with weather. Courtney and her husband Ben scheduled a maternity shoot months ago. As luck would have it, the day of their shoot started off beautiful and sunny, but as the afternoon drew near the rain clouds gathered around and eventually we had this gray, overcast sky and a serious Chicago fall chill in the air.

Luckily, I really love those gray overcast days. The shots you can capture may not have the golden hue of the sunset that we all love, but they have this gritty, artsy, absolutely amazing quality that I just adore. You can see for yourself - and for clients it's good to know no matter the weather you can always capture amazing images with the right eye and the right creative vision.
