One of my favorite families scheduled a gorgeous fall session for their holiday card photos. I absolutely love shooting in October. While it is the busiest season of all, the colors simply do not get any better. The rich golds, stunning reds, deep greens - I mean come on. It's perfect.

Timing is everything in a fall shoot. I prefer to shoot after 3pm when the sun starts to set. This session was at 3:30 and you can see the golden hues are just starting to shine through in the images. Not quite the elusive "golden hour" but close. It goes to show you can get a very close feel if you know what to look for.

It was so fun to see baby Bridget - who has been to the studio several times, most recently for her cake smash - and see how much she has grown in the few months since we last met. That is one of the best parts of this job, watching families grow and being a part of those special moments.
