In the midst of the busy holiday season I received a call from a former client with a big request - she needed pictures of her entire family as a huge surprise gift for her mom's birthday. I was so excited to be asked to take on this session and knew the pictures needed to be perfect. I even joked around that perhaps I could make it snow to bring that extra magic into the images.

As luck would have it, the day of our session it was the first big snow in Chicago. The pictures turned out amazing - especially given the fact that this family could actually be the "Hallmark" family - my goodness aren't they gorgeous?

What made this even better was receiving word back that mom was in tears when she opened her gift. It was such a great feeling and really made me excited to be a part of this beautiful occasion.
