gillson beach mini sessions {chicago beach family photos, wilmette family photographer}

I'm excited to announce my Fall 2018 line-up for this year. There has been so much interest in these sessions and I'm looking forward to seeing both new and old clients. With that said - there is still a lot of great summer weather left this year and I am not planning to miss out on all that wonderful Chicago sunshine.

In addition to the Fall offerings for the year, I am pleased to announce Lifestyle Beach Mini Sessions at Gillson Beach in Wilmette, IL. I fell in love with this location earlier this season and think there are so many great options for backdrops that I had to do a Mini Session day here! 

There is a more traditional backdrop with an adorable bridge and beautiful stone seating area. This was the backdrop I used for an extended family session. I love the way the light hits this spot and it made posing the large group very easy! See for yourself.

This location is so versatile because that same evening I went exploring with my own family to get a better idea of all this beautiful beach has to offer. We took some sibling pictures with Lake Michigan in the background and I absolutely love how these turned out. 

It gets even better as there are many offshoots and various areas to explore we had an amazing sunset to capture some pictures of Evie in that glorious golden sunshine. With the backdrop and beauty of this location I had to come back for Mini Sessions this summer. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for something a little different in their family portraits - perhaps for the past few years you have taken your portraits in a nice lush forest preserve or had clean, crisp studio portraits - this is a great alternative and I promise it will not disappoint.
